Jellyfish, Joy and Just a Few Things
Hi friends! We saw the new Black Tip Reef exhibit this weekend at the National Aquarium. If you live in the area and haven't seen the exhibit, there is a very cool live cam on the website so you can check it out! While I thought the new exhibit was really great, I have to say that the Jellyfish Invasion was another favorite of mine. I couldn't stop making comparisons between the Jellyfish and space--especially with the luminescent ones. They just look so celestial!
My older girls started school this week. It's been crazy busy here. I can't believe I have a first and second grader now. Where does the time go? My littlest daughter starts school tomorrow. It's just a half day preschool program but she is so excited! So, that means I'll just have my son with me in the mornings. I won't know what to do with myself!
Sometimes, I look at my children and I want to cry with the joy of it all. Aren't kids so amazing? I mean we certainly don't have a perfect life and we're definitely an expressive bunch (as in--none of us have a problem speaking our opinions!) but in our tiny townhouse there's a whole lot of love.
My husband and I are considering a move to a bigger home and have begun positioning ourselves to make that possible. Sometimes I question if this is even necessary (is more space better?) but really my main goal would be to have a yard, not just a shared common space. I don't know...but I just smile envisioning my kids running around in our very own yard. Maybe we can have some chickens? Or a pet rabbit? Who knows! I'd also love a garden. Did I ever tell you I have a degree in ornamental horticulture? Yes, I do! You'd never know it looking at my plants here, but I have a dream garden design I've rendered and one day I plan on implementing it! One day!
How is your week going? Have your kids started school yet?
